My laboratory studies the integrative aspect of mammalian physiology relevant to human diseases. Currently, we are focused on the integration of cardiovascular, renal, and endocrine physiology and pathophysiology related to hypertension and diabetes. We use a variety of complementary approaches, such as transcriptome and proteome analysis, gene targeting and delivery, and analysis of whole animal function.
Ongoing projects in collaboration with the Biotechnology and Bioengineering Center include a systems biology analysis of rat vascular endothelial cells, and statistical analysis of large-scale gene expression data.
